new month
can you believe its already April!?
where has 2017 gone?
i started out April pretty good.
we celebrated my brother's birthday at home with a little family get together that led to everyone basically crying because my boyfriend made aguachiles and even though they weren't as spicy as i know he can make them, they were still pretty spicy but so delicious that no one could stop eating. haha
then on Sunday, we went for a hike in Palos Verdes after i was trying not to go but gave myself a talk that i should stop being lazy.
it was a nice hike, it wasn't too hot and it wasn't crowded.
it was all fun and games til i slipped and landed on my left buttcheek and my right foot and landed my left hand on a cactus.
thankfully, i didn't slide down cause i fell down while i was climbing down and my hand landing on the cactus wasn't as bad as it could have been.
just a couple of pricks here and there.
overall it was a nice hike.
then we went to San Pedro where, never in the 10 years that I've been going have i ever seen it so packed. we didn't even bother to wait in line so we just left.
overall it was a pretty great weekend, and little by little I'm seeing that the more you do on a weekend, the more you're okay with having to go back to work on Monday. (:

last month of 2015!!!!
can you believe that?
i honestly feel like we just started the year not that long ago and here we are, the last 30 days.
geesh.
i don't know if this is going to be an emotional post yet I'm just writing as i go so bear with me.
this has been a very inneresting year for me but the thing is, i can only remember the big things. i cant remember the little things which kinda sucks.
i started my second job January 20th and i lost track of time because it was work & school or work & work. ....and i ended up telling my second job to shove it a month ago today actually. i quit on Halloween cause i couldn't deal with high school crap. actually no, not couldn't but chose not too. i avoided high school because of that. so its now been an interesting 1st month with weekends back.
my first weekend back, B & I were just sitting in his front yard while i was reading my nook and i kept thinking, "man, its only Saturday, i feel like i should be going back to work tomorrow" and honestly, I'm still getting used to it.
this past Saturday, it wasn't even 5pm and i was already all bundled up warm in bed. i was thinking back how a few months ago i was thinking on a random Saturday off, how amazing it was to just lay in bed for a bit and how weird it would be to be able to do that EVERY Saturday and BOOM! here i am. (what a random rant about wanting to chill on a Saturday lol!)
anyways,
2015....it was a very interesting year.
i learned some lessons the very hard way.
I've continued going to shows and concerts for 3 years now!
i met my boyfriend and were going to celebrate 6 months this month! :) and hes the absolute best.
and while i have been happy by myself (I LOVE DOING EVERYTHING BY MYSELF!) its been nice to have someone there! and i guess i didn't know or remember how it felt to care so fully for someone because EVERYONE has been telling me that since they've known me, this is the happiest they have ever seen me in a long while and i absolutely love hearing that!!! i love everyone! <3
i finally took a freakin' vacation!!! (posts coming up. get ready for A LOT of pictures!) and it was the best! i was in 3 states in 1 week! me, my car and the boyfriend! :) saw so many new things, new landscapes and i freakin hiked angels landing!!!! google it, ill wait. ......exactly!!!! (okay i did 4.5 of 5 miles cause that vertigo kicked my ass. but. I'm. still. counting. it!)
this month also marks 1 year that i went to Big Sur and if you've been around since then, you know how amazing that trip was to my soul. I'm still thankful to Jonathan for going with me to this day even though we don't really talk anymore. I'll always remember the drive home. thanks J for falling asleep and letting me enjoy my beautiful drive peacefully! <3
that's is seriously the best thing anyone has ever given me.
...i feel as if I've talked your ear off so ill just leave it here and ill probably, maybe come back later with a sappier post.
but know that i have lots of picture posts of my trip coming up!
i cant wait to share!!!

hhmmm...a few things here and there but mostly it was a quiet month. actually ive been missing because its been sorta quiet.
its just been work, work and boyfriend.
im not even on here on Sunday's and truthfully im kinda over it.
im not taking pictures as often as i should. im going through a non-blogging phase and im not feeling bad about it, i just don't want to disappear from here ya know.
so for now i think ill just stick to what i read (which was always the point of this blog anyways!) but still ill check in from time to time and hopefully ill snap out of this funk and be back for reals!!!
but still....this month is a bit exciting....mom's bday! and i have (finally) Jill Scott in Vegas!!!! im sooo excited for that. thats on a Thursday and that Friday, we will be watching The Beatles cirque du soleil and i cant wait! (happy 2 months to us!)
i just finished a book and im writing up the post so thats coming up real soon!

what the heck happened to 2015? where did it go. were past half the year. this is the beginning of the holidays. yes i know I'm committing the cardinal "don't celebrate the holidays before they actually start" rule but lets face it, its true.
oh well.
basically it was a lot of fun with him.
and it also marks the month i became a gf! how fun! its been so long that its a little bit weird (but NOT in a bad way i swear!) I'm liking it so far!!
we have a dodgers game date next Friday and i cannot wait!! (:
his birthday is this Sunday and I'm super excited cause i have a few things up my sleeve. this being one of them. he knows about it so i cant wait for his other surprises.
it also brought some weird weather. it was sprinkling and cloudy but ridiculously hot.
luckily im always at work so im always under the AC which means i always avoid the heat.
i freaking hate summer! (sorry for the outburst.)
were back to this heat and the sun being out and im definitely not feeling it but hopefully it lasts til at least tomorrow cause pooool party.
i have this 4th of July weekend off (!!!) from both jobs so its going to be a relaxing weekend.
pool party tomorrow and B's birthday celebration on Sunday.

my coworker just told me that because for the longest time now I've had this huge grin on my face and i loooove it!

life right now is great!
been working like crazy but still a slightly little bit less and in June i have mostly all Saturdays off! what whaaat!!! actually all but the first one and even then its an early shift.
at the end of the month B (R) and i are headed to San Diego to catch a favorite comedian of his (i got him tickets for his birthday) and then hes going to show me around SD cause he LOVES that place! i cannot wait for that!
July is his bday and i have a couple of things planned for the guy and then in August were heading on a mini vacation to Vegas to see Jill Scott!
eeekk!!!! i told myself if i was giving up on the concert scene, i was okay with that as long as i got to see Jill Scott and BOOM!!!!
she's out here at the Greek Theater but even the super far, i might as well have stayed home, seats were expensive so Vegas for 1/2 the price with general admission was a no brainer! but les, gas, room and all that it adds up!
its Vegas!!!! all i want after the show is a Fat Tuesday and a slice of pinup pizza while i eat in the tub and if that doesn't sound relaxing to you, then i don't know what to say to you my friend.
weird, yes but still!!! eeek! i cannot wait!
and then that Friday were catching The Beatles Cirque De Soleil show.

do you remember when you were a little kid and you felt like time just went by sooo slowly and now there's not enough time to do everything.
while i do want the time to slow down a liiiitle bit, I'm okay with it. it'll make these next few years a little bit better since i now have a brand new car payment. (inset exhausted emoji face) but still, i love my new baby girl. i just discovered it tells me how many miles i have until I'm completely out of gas (and yes in know a lot of cars do that but this is my first one) every day its something little.
any who, April came and went, it brought like 2 days of rain, it brought the one monthaversary of my car accident :(, the Kimbra concert, and i ended the the month with new glasses.
yep! i now officially wear legit real glasses. it took 27 years but here i am.
of course, i do believe an ex-corker put a curse on me which is why i need 'em buuut whateves. i looove wearing glasses.
its just a little bit hard to get used to them. i feel like my eyes are sore at the end of the night after wearing them.
that and EVERYTHING looks 3D when i wear them. wooah! i never realized how blind i was until i saw clearly. so far i only need em for distance and for driving at night so i don't want to get super used to them other than just for that but then again i want to wear em all the time. i LOVE my grey raybans! (similar) and now that i have a prescription, im thinking of all the cute glasses i can buy! ahh!
le sigh.
i know I've been sorta quiet on here other than with books but life has just been not that exciting and i haven't done much or crafted much but school is over in 1 month and then I'm off til winter session so hopefully some exciting things happen in between that!

1 year ago, HIMYM ended (lol i just read last years post) and i sill have not seen the finale. ill get to it eventually!
i meant to do this post yesterday but it was a really weird day.
i got the call; my car is officially dead. they aren't going to fix it so its a complete total loss.
i got most of my stuff out but i had left a few things in there (some teddy bears) so i had to go pick up everything else i had left in there. it was SO weird to see my car just there, dead.
i know, i have a weird attachment to my car. I'm hella sentimental about random things.
the upside! a) no one got hurt! b) i have an awesome bruise on my chest. its small and its like greenish yellow now. & c) no more car payments!!! :D
buuut lets face it, i need a car so here goes the hassle of trying to not over pay for a car again. ahhh! i hate it. well, that's if i even get a car. i like the idea being car payment free. id rather use that money towards adventures. let's travel instead!
'kay, nuff about that. ill miss ya car and rest in peace. you were amazing to me while i had you. like 20,000 miles in a year good! (that's a lot!) so yea hope you're happy wherever you go! <3 <3 <3
I'm sitting at my desk listening to Bob's burgers (as always) and i just saw that they have season 4 on netflix now! im sooooooo excited. (its the little things!) like you cant even believe how excitedly happy i am!
last months goals was to update my blog (done thanks to Crissy) and do an about me post. done and done.
for this month, i don't really have anything set in stone yet. maybe just work out more (first i should start) and hike more often. we'll see where i end up. its been a weird start to April....

its been a quiet year so far, im working (2 jobs now) and im still in school :)

March is just taking names and kicking butt; i love it.
i just purchased a new layout for my blog so that will be changing in a couple of days.
she did the current one, she made the new one and as long as she keeps making em, im pretty sure she'll continue to be my gal for the job! <3

lets list the may ways:
1. Super Bowl Sunday: it really is self explanatory! but the half time show. not crazy about it. ive always wanted to see Katy Perry in concert. got it yesterday, im good.
im definitely NOT saying that she was bad because she wasnt. what im trying to say is that... ITS THE SUPER BOWL!!!! hype it up! playing fireworks (although i do like the message) and teenage dream? no. its the SUPER BOWL! (im yelling that out!) play some super upbeat music! pump it up. make me want to run around yelling at the top of my lungs! not sit at my seat waiting for the game to start. nice try but no dice. for me anyways. well see next year
2. The Patriots won!!! HELL YES!!! i mean! did you see that interception!!? gah! i sorta missed it because i was watching it at work and ALL the guys were surrounding the tv so i got to see the playback.
i love when i hear the commentators say "that's the thing about the Patriots. they dont crumble under pressure. they thrive." way to go guys! although, im not sure how i feel about Brady winning the MVP. i mean yea i guess but ya know....what do i know. i just yell when i need too.
3. i got paid to watch the game cause i was at work. i also got some free spaghetti. apparently the dude i work with made this spaghetti sauce back in the days for his daughters class and it ended up winning and now its sold on shelves and all that stuff. thats awesome. as soon as i sat down, they gave me a scratcher. i didnt win but hey! then the guy who had given it to me ended up winning 5 bucks on his scratcher so he gave it to me! woohoo! i also joined a pool on the game but i lost. :/ the first 2 quarters were $300 each and the last one was $1100. can you imagine winning that!? i would have won but it was pats vs hawks not hawks vs pats....thats what screwed me out of $300. oh well. you win some. you lose some.
basically, the first of Feb was all about Super Bowl and i am a-okay with that. i know its too soon but hurry up Sept. i miss football already.
okay! so, for my monthly goal of January, i am glad to announce that i did in fact dump out my closet! woohoo! ill post a picture soon. i didnt get to do my arts and crafts stuff but my closet is sooo empty-ish. theres space now. now, i am going to turn over all my clothes at the end of Feb whatever hasnt been worn is getting dumped as well (donated actually!)
im still thinking about February's goal. but like i said, better late than never.

hello everyone! hello 2015!
aahhh!!! the new year is here!
yesterday was my birthday! (hello 27!)
my mom and sus took me out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and OMG!!! i have never been SO FULL in my life. my plate was sooo good and i got so full once i left, i passed the carrot cake slice i so badly wanted to taste (ok devour!). oh well, i will be back for you!

everyone went back work today and i've been at home laying in bed binge watching Parks and Rec and i am beyond okay with that!
my mom's currently making me some of her delicious chicken soup for me as a birthday wish/gift and im soooooooooo excited. seriously, i love her soup!
i have no plans so far and i'm liking it this way. im just going with it as it goes.
although if im being 100% honest, im already trying to plan a way to get out to Big Sur again. lets make that happen!!! that's all i want.

i think in 2012 maybe 2011, an old coworker told me "man, this year is going by fast!"
ever since then, every year has FLOWN by.
then i read something about time always flies by when you're an adult. when you're a kid, time just slowly passes while you're waiting for your birthday or a holiday and stuff like that and i couldn't agree more.
also, do you have kids!? ask them what trix looks like. maybe they are just for kids. maybe adults only see them as a round cereal instead of the fruit shaped cereal they really are!
i meant to get to this yesterday but i actually for once FINALLY did something on Halloween!
i went to a pub crawl with my cousins Vera & Stan and his wife Michelle ( I LOVE HER!!!) lets just say i was hating life Nov 1st. well like at 2 am. i was up at 8 and only had a major headache.
im done drinking for this year (as i always say)
reasons why November is already the best:
- THANKSGIVING!!!!! hello mom's turkey and Tessie's sides. and leftovers and ahhh!!!
- Christmas Tree. i cant wait to get that sucker!
- i woke up yesterday sorta hungover and i got me some Pho! not at my usual spot. somewhere in Van Nuys but it was surprisingly good! i also ordered a soda but had like 2 sips. its k. waking up to Pho is ALWAYS a win win!
- last night my friend Dan took me on this massive Photography walk in DTLA (#flaskmob on ig) such an amazing experience! it was a HUGE HUUUUUGE mob. ridiculous. i absolutely loved it. we walked all over DTLA; what ive always wanted to do at night! i loved loved loved it and i cannot wait to do it again. thanks Dan. you really are a good guy. sorta. (#aboutaweekago. insider) mega post on this coming up. i need to go through the hundreds of pictures i took.
- Capital Cities: seeing them in concert in about 20 days.
- next month: i get to finally go to Big Sur and i cannot wait!
- BEST REASON WHY NOVEMBER IS THE BEST: yesterday, i get home from the market with my mom (still in my Halloween costume) to my sister giving me a late/early birthday/Christmas present. any idea what it was? well, some cute fox socks i wanted, a cute letter aaaannnnnd drum roll please!!!!..... A FREAKIN' DISNEYLAND PASS!!!!! with parking! are you kidding me!!!!?????? oh man! im still debating when to go because i want to be there the ENTIRE day but im sooo excited! i cant even!!! eeekkk!!!!!
see what i mean? im sure there's a million more reasons but here are a few.
kk. now to work because i missed yesterday. not because i was hungover or anything just cause i didn't even get home until 2pm. i wouldn't want to ever be here that late.

Halloween is almost here. my favorite holiday even if i don't dress up.
i just love the feel of it. i love watching Halloweentown on the Disney channel. I see that movie at least twice during the entire month that they play it and Hocus Pocus. classic. i own it on my itouch but that thing crapped out so that sucks. i have to buy it on dvd.
wouldn't it be awesome if it was like that all the time? sign me up!!!
i went to the market the other day to buy Tess a bday cake and i saw this little pumpkin sitting on its own. i don't know if they had it there for decoration but i took it!
I've been avoiding the market and the entrances where they have these because I KNOW i will spend a butt load of $ on these but alas, the time has come so buy a butt load of cute baby pumpkins i shall! :D
i bought some decorations and I've just been waiting for October to decorate! so maybe this weekend. while my sister parties, ill be decorating. (i don't want to be that annoying neighbor that decorates 3 months in advance ya know!)

uhm, newsflash!!!! summer's happenin' 'til 9/21. maybe its because they live in a part of the world where they get to experience all 4 season but i don't know...a lot of em are from California. i myself do not care for summer (because i live in California!) and cannot wait for fall. but you have 19 days left; enjoy them wisely instead of writing 'em off already.
my sister bought my mom some flowers yesterday (the ones in the picture above) and they are sooo beautiful. im thinking of maybe making it a thing and getting some for my room. at least once a month. i know Home Depot has a beautiful selection around the holidays.

my grandmas and Tessie's birthday are both this month and all the cousins are planning a trip to the LA fair. that should be a lot of fun!!!
my sister and i also got 6 flags passes and im super excited for that!
i was actually protesting them because they got rid of my favorite ride, Colossus, but as it turns out...they're upgrading it!!! have you seen the video? ICANNOTWAAAIIITTT!!!!!
