Truth. There is no one truth. Everyone has his own truth. It’s all about point of view.
SYNOPSIS
In a town where the corrupt are protected, a bereaved mother seeks retribution for an arsonist’s deadly crimes. Only Nameless can help ease the burden of her grief—and satisfy her rage—in part four of this thrilling series.
After a suspicious house fire, Regina Belmont lost her two children, was left disfigured, and was abandoned by her gutless husband. Brokenhearted and bullied into silence by corrupt officials, Regina’s only recourse for truth and justice is Nameless. There’s something about this case that’s breaking Nameless’s heart as well. But can he bear to remember why?
THOUGHTS
this one was just okay.
nothing too crazy and not as detailed as all others before it.
probably my least favorite

we know what he's going in for and i like that he manages to solve it all by "keeping his hands clean" but there wasn't any of the usual pizzazz in this one that the others before have had.
this one involves fire.
i feel like A LOT could have been done with that but it was all pretty simple. although, the title is fighting after you've read the story in its entirety.

and he didn't come back to meet with Regina afterward which i feel like he has done with the others one way or another.
maybe its a sign of something.
maybe in book book 6 we'll see them all tie up?
but honestly maybe not because that one has less chapters than the ones before it while the ones before it have had more than the one previous...i duno.

jump over for spoilers!
A sea of lies can’t wash away a single grain of truth. Truth is what it is.

kthxbyye!
Nameless meets up with Regina.
she was part of a fire that killed both her children and left her divorced after her husband realized all the work it would take.
she tells him that while she was campaigning for the truth, two thugs assaulted her in her home and told her that if she didn't shut up, they would kill her and make it look like an accident.
essentially, Nameless is here to let her know that they are going to be seeking vengeance for her. this is the first time that he tells a client so to speak that they are going to be killing the bad guys.
he gives her enough money to flee where she lives so that she's sure not to be killed by anyone else while the murders take place.
on top of that, she will be getting a monthly $6,000 for as long as she lives.
she understands what she wants.
the dude in charge of killing her kids is named Danny.
he lives for creating fires and he's actually well known in creating fires that pay out top dollars to his clients.
he was to set the bookstore that she lived above on fire but something about how she came home a day too early.
honestly, if i think about it, im just 100% assuming that he really only meant to burn down the book store. i do not think that she was his target at all.
BUT he has caused fires that have killed others before.
so even if it was a mistake, he obvs doesn't care.
anyway, the Ace team contacts him pretending to be some major hot shot that Danny always deals with to let him know that some one will be contacting him about a possible job. he's all okay, cool.
then Nameless calls him.
they are to meet at a warehouse to talk about it.
long story short, Nameless knocks him unconscious. and then Danny wakes up hanging in a cage.
Nameless tells him he knows shit but wants to hear it from him. Danny thinks he can outsmart him but eventually Nameless leaves him with the key to escape just a little bit out of reach.
then this other dude shows up because "Danny called him" he's all wtf, and then the 2 other thugs show up.
one of the thugs shoots Danny, the first dude shoots one thug and the other thug gets mad and shoots the first dude.
the last man standing is the one thug.
which Nameless kills by shooting from the roof.
and yeah....i dont remember if he has a vision this time.
on to the next!
