nothing better than a surprise book release from a brand new author you just found out about not that long ago whom you just can't get enough of!
while i was mourning the fact that we have to wait (who knows how long) for the next book in the Into You series (book 1 / book 2), here comes JO surprising us all with a quick little novella

this story is about Sadie And Aiden who meet at her job on a random night check in to then how he continues to make it a constant thing to then having it blossom into something more.
the beginning with Jill was super funny even more so because Aiden has a funny sense of humor about it. i just couldn't with Jill. especially because even if she's not 18 yet, you definitely know that's how kids currently talk right now so that made it even more funnier for me. she was so funny at points and then in other's i wanted to yell at her a bit. but overall, she's a good kid. i loved her role in this story. even if she "cock blocks" a bit at the end, she means good...and it all works out.
from Aiden's funny sense of humor, to the way that he doesn't give up and Sadie's attitude. i loved the role reversal that goes on here. i liked that it wasn't easy but he didn't give up.
and MIKE!!!!!!!!
i loved Mike for what he does and what he says in the end.
i love that he was not bitter about anything. what he says in the end made me so happy i legit cried. lol.
its a super quick read, i read it in about 2 hours, and i loved everything about it.
this is another hit for Julie and i cannot wait to see what else she blesses us all with.
if you're looking for a quick, spicy read (at points i was telling myself "daaaaamn Sadie, you GO girl!"), this is for you!
i definitely recommend.

Aiden checks in one night for one night only because he's on a business trip at the hotel that Sadie works at.
after Jill drools all over him, she makes Sadie check him in because she's too shy. lol
he's being playful and she's being a tough ass.

after everything is said and done and he walks away, he asks her "do i really look like my dad?" (Jill had called him Daddy. i guess he hears wrong.)
he comes down to the lobby at 3 am to look for a sleeping aid but they don't have any. he makes small talk with her and then goes to bed.
the next morning he checks out and Sadie doesn't see him again until he shows up the next time to her surprise since he had told her chances were he'd never be back.
they develop this type of relationship.
on one trip, they take a walk outside and they get to talking.
she learns he's single and he learns she's single as well.
the next morning, he is gone.
the next chapter starts with Sadie getting ready to go on a date with Mike.
she's on the date, getting ready to get it in when she starts getting calls from Katie. turns out the spare key was locked in the safe so she has no other way in.
she's bummed because she missed out on the opportunity to get it in with Mike but she goes to her job.
BUT
then from around the corner, here comes Aiden.
(AHHH!!!)
he convinces her to go on a non date date.
they do, they come back, they finally make a move!
they're about to head to his room when in walks Sadie and sees that Jill is hella asleep at the front desk.
Sadie is all wtf!? Jill tells her that she sent Katie home and Sadie gets pissed and sends her home.
girl is mad for all sorts of reasons and i do not blame her.
Aiden is also bummed BUT they end up hooking up in her office. it was a hot mess.
after they are done, he asks her for her number but she says no.
he's bummed but hey! Sadie cant mix business with pleasure.
all in all, her boss is opening another hotel in Indiana (Where Aiden is from). for as much as she doesn't believe in fate, here we go!
she starts thinking that she will get transferred to Indiana and maybe they will get to be together and she makes the move to make a relationship with him happen but it turns out that Jill be getting this position in Indiana. so Sadie is bummed and calls everything off with Aiden.
she goes back home (she was in Indiana seeing the place) and eventually goes on a date with Mike again.
she's in it as much as possible but you know who she wants.
so she's on her date with Mike when BOOM! here is Aiden.
he asks to speak with her and Mike is all yea. go for it.
she goes outside, she's all wtf are you doing here? he's all i quit my job and i'm moving here, i want to be with you. she's all noooooooooo. she tells him that he can't do this and then goes back inside to Mike.
once inside she asks Mike what he ordered and he tells her that he actually asked for the check she's all whaa...yyy? and he tells her straight out that he doesn't know who that was or what the story is but that he's been in love before so he knows what she's feeling/going through right now. (obvs he worded it better than how i said it.)
she goes outside and thinks its too late to find Aiden when she spots him under a streetlight leaning over the steering wheel, crying.
she knocks on the window, he's all ?, and she says that she's looking for her prince charming.
they kiss.
the end.
